This code if you look carefully, is coming from gallery2 via the WPG2 plug-in. If you disable this plug-in, it disappears. Perhaps G2 is compromised or perhaps this is just harmless code.
Since the changelog file is being pulled from a strange server it may be safe to assume that something was compromised.
Very true. I am looking into a fix for Gallery2 since it seems to only show itself when WPG2 is activated.
