No, I'm not kidding VERY excited. I calculated when we could start the seeds... turns out not for another three weeks. So no planting last night, Gene was bummed he wanted to plant them anyway, and Emma asked for a garden in her bedtime story.  So this morning I asked Emma what was something fun she wanted to do today, and she said she wanted to, "Grow a garden!" I caved and we started a select few seeds, Emma loved every minute.  The funniest part was when Emma held up a packet of squash seeds, and said to Gene, "Look Daddy, squash, it's not yummy!"  So much for the hope that growing her own vegetables might get her to eat them.
