Even though we were very tired from our trek across the state we made a visit to the natural history museum at Thanksgiving Point on Wednesday.  This place was at THE top of Peter’s list.  The younger kids enjoyed the exhibits and the sand table.  I pushed the older kids to do more reading about the different eras in evolution of life and took Walter on a lot of walking up and down stairs and ramps.  We came home and rested for a while before heading over to Uncle Gavin’s for a BBQ.  Brooke and Walter loved playing in the shrub oaks.  Oliver and Peter loved playing imaginary games with Cora and Marie spent most of the time crocheting a blanket for her YW leader’s baby girl.  As it got dark a thunderstorm rolled across the valley and the kids got quite a light show between fireworks going off near the temple and lightning in the hills.
